Foreman Fabricators: Foreman Fabricators Adds to Project Management Team

Now in its 67th year as an award-winning, custom architectural metal fabricator in St. Louis, Foreman Fabricators is pleased to announce the addition of two new project managers to serve customers. They’re fast becoming important members of the Foreman team, carrying on the company’s reputation for top quality work.

Grant Heier is a graduate of Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL and is excited by the unique and interesting projects the company works on. He is focused on providing outstanding customer service – handling quotes and managing projects from the concept phase to fabrication and installation. In the few short months he’s been with Foreman, customers have already experienced Grant’s attention to detail and go-getter attitude.

After 2+ years working on the shop floor, Elena Rolves has earned the step into project management. A quick study with a natural gift for positive customer relations, Elena’s experience in the production end of the company is invaluable as she delves into the administrative and project management side of the business. Elena is a Quincy University graduate, and the daughter of Foreman Fabricators’ owner, Rob Rolves.

“Elena has and will earn every opportunity she gets at the company,” says Rob. “So far, she’s impressed me and the staff, and she knows I expect her to work even harder than anyone else here, except maybe me. She literally grew up watching me go above and beyond to take care of customers, so I think the job is really in her blood. She and Grant are great additions to the project management team here at Foreman.”

PRIZE WINNING PROJECT AT POWELL HALL

Foreman Fabricators has earned its reputation as a highly respected, go-to architectural metal fabricator in St. Louis. If you’ve spent any time exploring our home town, it’s a pretty sure bet you’ve seen or touched some of their work. From metal window, door and elevator trims to graceful handrails, stainless steel countertops, gloriously metal-clad foyers and entryways, bars, desks and kiosks, plus a wide variety of one-of-a-kind architectural metal items, Foreman has been the one to call in St. Louis for almost 70 years.

Foreman’s latest award-winning architectural metal project is a custom bar fabricated for the donor lounge at Powell Hall. This durable and attractive 18-foot-long bar features a gently curved design with seamless welds, and a unique brass and silver patina finish that makes the piece pop. It has an artistic flair suitable for the great Powell Hall.

The subtle features of the piece required expert craftsmanship to meet designer specifications, and the job was recognized as a Silver award winner in the 2025 Ernest Wiemann Top Job Competition for outstanding craftsmanship, administered by the National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association (NOMMA). Foreman is proud to be recognized as a top performer by this association of their peers in the industry.

Rob Rolves, President of Foreman Fabricators gives the credit to his expert craftsmen, who brought the designer’s concept to life with an expert touch combined with considerable effort. He says, “This is another one of those jobs that looks fantastic in the end and has a simple elegance, but unless you’re in the industry you don’t know just how challenging a job it was. That’s why winning this award was so gratifying. There’s plenty of detailed welding in the Powell Hall donor bar, plus gentle curves and rounded corners, but you won’t see a weld seam anywhere on the façade, because our team is that good at what they do. The immense amount of time and effort the crew spent on surface preparation is really what made the finish stand out.”
