Our Mazak Laser-cutting equipment allows us to maintain efficiency, enhance accuracy, and minimize fabrication time. It’s more accurate than plasma cutting, and has a very narrow kerf width, resulting in less wasted material and more products from a sheet of material. The increased accuracy allows for a level of fine detail not possible with other methods. Also, no tooling is required, and laser cutting is faster than many traditional cutting methods. Since the cut is so clean, the product is usually ready to be shipped right after cutting, with no secondary cleanup step required. It’s also very clean in the sense that the cut material won’t be contaminated by any other material, as is possible with a mechanical cutting process. With no blade or die to wear out the first cut will be just as clean and accurate as the last, so laser cut products are extremely consistent. There’s virtually no deformation of the cut material, unlike mechanical or other heat based cutting methods, and it requires less energy than traditional cutting methods.
